Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling

The Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling project (SOCCOM) is a multi-institutional program focused on unlocking the mysteries of the Southern Ocean and determining its influence on climate. Founded and administered by Princeton for the first 10 years, the SOCCOM project is now under the leadership of PI Professor Lynne Talley at UCSD/SIO. SOCCOM is supported by the National Science Foundation under NSF Award PLR-1425989 and OPP-1936222 and 2332379.
